The concept of vapor steam cleaning was originated in Italy where they are using their very own manufactured vapor steam cleaner having a true steam temperature of 180°C. Vapor steam cleaning is a method of cleaning without using any harmful chemicals that were found in the supermarket. It is a one easy operation that sanitizes, deep cleans, disinfect and deodorized almost all surfaces.
To allergy sufferers, vapor steam cleaning is the best and ideal. The steam produced by vapor steam cleaner penetrates the pores of any material being cleaned. Steam effectively kills dust mites, viruses, molds, and fungi which are common causes of allergy thus, freshens your homes instantly.
A wide variety of difficult cleaning household tasks can now be cleaned efficiently in lesser time with vapor steam cleaning. Furthermore, it only uses tap water as cleaning agent thereby eliminating the use of regular harmful cleaning fluids. In addition, vapor steam cleaning is the most ecologically friendly and effective cleaning system.
How does it work?
Often a vapor steam cleaner is mistakenly identified as a vacuum cleaner but it is not a vacuum. It is a cleaning machine that uses steam to quickly dry, clean, and sanitize surfaces.
Vapor steam cleaner uses a little water less than a gallon. Its boiler heats up the water to a high temperature to produce low moisture water vapor steam that can be used in an hour of continuous cleaning operation.
One great feature of a vapor steam cleaner is the low moisture vapor it produced. Low moisture means that the vapor steam consists only of 4 to 6% water which leaves surface almost dry.
For instance, cleaning a carpet using other method takes time to dry that may cause for mold spores to start proliferating. With the use of vapor steam cleaning, carpets will be completely dry in 15 minutes thus leaving no possibility for mold spores to grow. Moisture evaporates immediately after the vapor steam makes contact with a surface which makes it very ideal to use in cleaning carpets. Vapor steam cleaner loosen dirt in carpet fibers which rise to the surface then it is absorbed by using a towel attached to its steaming tool.
Vapor steam cleaning can clean and sanitized hard surfaces (like countertops) to soft surfaces (like upholstery). It does not require buckets, mops, sponges or even emptying out dirty water. It is an almost “mess free” way of cleaning.

Cleaning traditionally uses chemical detergent but it has been noticed that after rinsing a lot of water, chemical residuals remains on the surfaces. On the other hand, steam machines uses only the power of steam to clean that is why these chemicals are no longer needed. Moreover, the consumption of wasted water is intensely reduced.

Smelly odours, bacteria and thick grease are constant headaches for restaurant kitchens and food factories.
Traditional way of cleaning up involves high-pressure jets, too much chemicals and tedious scrubbing. Not only it is messy, a persistent greasy film usually covers the floor and machinery even after cleaning.
Many studies have demonstrated that even without chemical disinfectants, proper steam cleaning methods destroy E-Coli, Listeria, Salmonella and many other forms of harmful micro-organisms effectively and efficiently. Establishments smell better after steam cleaning, since steam deodorizes as it cleans. Using a steam cleaner requires less water and chemicals in kitchen cleaning.
Steam penetrates hard-to-reach corners and is very dry that is why it is ideal for the food establishments and is especially useful for cleaning machinery such as blades, dicing machines and nozzles; slippery floor and greasy stove hoods.
Steam cleaning before evoked visions of installing large industrial boilers at US$30,000, a pop throughout the factory floor, but today, smaller steam cleaners can do the same job at a fraction of that cost. These function much like expensive fixed industrial boilers, with powerful steam able to simultaneously disinfect, deodorize and degrease.
Two of big reasons why steam cleaners popular are their affordability and mobility, allowing a single cleaning machine to be deployed at various locations in a factory depending on demand.
When choosing a steam cleaner, user should look out for models that produce at least 155°C superheated dry steam as effective disinfection requires adequate steam temperature and volume.
Depending on the area cleaned, it may be necessary to get models with continuous cleaning for many hours. Other multi-function models that have powerful vacuum cleaners integrated are also very useful since debris and melted grease can be removed quickly, leaving a clean dry surface.
It is important to note, however, that only with proper steam techniques will a company gain all the benefits of steam cleaning. Thus, choose a supplier that has proven steam cleaning expertise and provides proper training for your cleaning crew.

How will you clean cigarette marks in smoking rooms, bedwetting stains on mattresses or chewing gum in carpets?
These problems are a turning frustration for housekeepers. Often, they rely on even more chemicals to solve their problems. What they do not always realize is that for many cases there is a practical and cost effective alternative called steam cleaning.
Superheated dry steam at 155°C (or known as supersteam) is effective in killing bacteria, removing odours and certain (fresh) stains. Steam leaves no wet stains and since steam is dry, room turn arounds are faster.
Furthermore, its sanitizing power effectively kills bacteria, algae and mould. As the steam penetrates (e.g. grout pores) the algae are destroyed from the roots and will take longer to return.
Common Problems
Steam cleaning is very popular all over Europe, and lately it is generating much interest across Asia. Its effectiveness and versatility make steam cleaning very handy for common housekeeping problems.
It is ideal for cleaning hotel room carpets while keeping them dry. Steam cleaning is also effective as a spot-cleaning tool. Moreover, drapes, mattresses, furniture and carpets be deodorized with steam, particularly in smoking rooms.
In situations where younger guest wet the bed, the steam serves a dual function of cleaning as well as sanitizing. Because the steam is superheated, unsightly chewing gum embedded in carpets melt and can be quickly removed. Stickers on windows and walls come off easily. The dry and sanitizing effect of steam also means that it is an ideal technique for the cleaning of saunas and gymnasiums.
Which steam cleaner?
While there are many types of steam cleaners in the market, there are three types that would benefit housekeepers the most.
If budget is limited and only one machine can be chosen, housekeepers should select a reliable multi-function steam cleaner. The better ones come with different accessories options and can double up as ironing machines or even garment steamers.
